Kate was the WA Communications and Engagement Officer (Theme 7: Knowledge and Adoption) for TRaCK based in Broome in the first phase of research and still assists TRaCK on a number of projects.
Kate works to provide policy makers and end-users with the scientific knowledge they need to make informed decisions about river, floodplain and coast management in north Australia. Kate has worked alongside the Knowledge & Adoption team to link researchers with end-users and the public.
Kate has worked on a wide range of community development, cultural and natural resource management, environmental, heritage protection and native title projects across the Kimberley, all of which have been built on extensive community engagement. She has an MA in Anthropology.
